When using Cool Or Cruel, we process the following data:

• Account data: Username, display name, and password (stored encrypted) upon registration.
• Photos: Images you upload are stored on our servers and shown to other users for rating.
• Ratings: Your Cool/Cruel ratings of other users' photos.
• Chat messages: Messages you send through the in-app chat.
• Device ID: An anonymous device identifier to associate anonymous uploads and ratings.
• Push token: Your device token for push notifications (Apple Push Notification Service).
• Language preference: Your device language for localized notifications.
• In-App Purchases: Transaction IDs from Apple for credit purchases (no payment data is stored by us).

3. Purpose of Processing

We process your data exclusively for:

• Providing app functionality (photo upload, rating, chat)
• Delivering push notifications
• Processing in-app purchases
• Content moderation to protect the community

4. Legal Basis

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance) for app usage and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) for push notifications.

5. Storage and Hosting

Your data is hosted on servers provided by Railway (railway.app) in the United States. All data transfer is encrypted via HTTPS.

6. Third-Party Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties, except for:

• Apple: For push notifications (APNs) and in-app purchases.
• Railway: As our hosting provider for server operations.

We do not sell or trade personal data.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your stored data
• Rectification of inaccurate data
• Deletion of your data and account
• Restriction of processing
• Data portability
• Withdrawal of consent
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

8. Deletion

You can delete your photos at any time within the app. To fully delete your account, contact us via email. We will delete your data within 30 days.

9. Cookies and Tracking

The app does not use cookies, tracking, or analytics tools. No data is shared with advertising networks.

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy as needed. The current version is always available through the app and our website.
